Thread: Shivshakti quits Afsar Bitiya?

Village Boy Production’s Afsar Bitiya on Zee TV focused on the issue of girl education and managed to gain good TRPs. It also went on to win the Best Show with a Social Message Award at the Eleventh Indian Telly Awards (it will air on Colors on 30 June 2012 at 7pm).

Recently, we reported about Ashwini Kalsekar entering the show and here we are back with some exclusive development from the serial.

Now, viewers are aware that Shivshakti Sachdev, who gained popularity via her stint in Star Plus’ Sabki Ladli Bebo, is seen playing the negative avatar of Pinky in Afsar Bitiya.

And guess what? Our sources have confirmed us that Shivshakti has quit the show. Yes, she has already put down her papers and currently is serving her notice period. Her last day of working will be on 17 July (2012).

Why did she quit? Well, apparently Shivshakti was not happy with the way her role was progressing in the show.

We got in touch with her but she chose to remain tight-lipped on the issue. On the other hand, producer Raakesh Paswan, said, “No, she is not quitting.”
