Thread: Sujay Reu to play the male lead in Alakshmi

Gear up for some super cool fun and masti as Hats off Productions is all set to launch a dhamekedar show, tentatively titled Alakshmi, on Life OK. We have already written about Helly Shah being roped in as one of the female leads, and the latest we have learned is that Sujay Reu has also been signed to play the male lead in the show. Sujay was last seen in Zee TV’s Ram Milaayi Jodi.

The show is about two families and if sources are to be believed, then the female lead will be mentally challenged. Now, Sujay’s character name will be Kishan, who will be an ambitious Gujarati boy and dream to become an interior designer.

Sujay went on to confirm the news and said, “Yes, I am a part of the show and I am happy to be working with the production house. The concept of the show is also good.”

Other name in the serial include, Supriya Pathak, Anang Desai, Falguni Desai, Neeraj Kshetarpal, Ujjwal Chopra (last seen in Gulaal), Priyamvada Sawant (of Shubh Kadam fame), Sunil Vishrani (last seen in Papad Pol) and theatre actors, namely Purvi Vyas and Disha Savla.

The shooting of the show has already begun and it will go on-air by end of May or early June 2012.
