"I am tired of answering questions on Veena Malik," snaps Ashmit PatelWe broke the news of Ashmit Patel being considered to make a wild card entry in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. When we tried to reach him for a confirmation, he remained unavailable then, but later he went on to speak with us.
On Jhalak entry, he stated, “Talks are still on with the production house (BBC Worldwide Productions) and the channel.”
Furthermore, any conversation with this younger brother of actress Ameesha Patel is incomplete without the mention of Bigg Boss. He was a contestant in season 4.
“This Colors reality show did turn out to be a game changer for me. For, prior to it, I did not have a film in hand for two long years.”
After he came out, not only did he give tips to impress women on UTV Bindass’ show Superstud, but also divulged that he had got a number of films as well. “Right now, I am doing Parivar and Supermodel.”
Furthermore, it has been reported that Bigg Boss co-mate Sara Khan is part of the cast of the above film (Parivar) where Ashmit plays a character similar to that of Prem popularised by Salman Khan in most Rajashri films.
You were very close to the Sara in Bigg Boss? “What’s wrong in that? I was the only man in that Karjat house who the woman felt secure with. The rest were scheming and plotting and using all kinds of swear language. ”
We then turned our attention to his equation with “close friend” Veena Malik (again Bigg Boss housemate). The mere mention of this Pakistani actor with whom he was linked and also his co- star in the unreleased film Supermodel enraged him, “Why do you ask such questions? I am tired of answering the same over and over again for two long years. We are no longer in touch.”
Ashmit also refused to comment on the fact that immediately after Bigg Boss, Veena had called him a kafir on Pakistani TV.
