Midweek: 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' shows remarkable growth
Film Cast Plusses Minusses Verdict
Ferrari Ki SawaariSharman Joshi, Boman Irani, Ritwik Sahore, Paresh Rawal, Vidya Balan [sp. app.], Seema Pahwa, Satyadeep Misra, Aakash Dabhade, Deepak Shirke, Nilesh Divekar, Vijay Nikam The father-son bonding, emotional moments, bravura performances A shorter duration would've worked wonders Started on a slow note, but grew with each passing day. Friday [Rs 3.04 cr] was decent, with the business picking up towards evening/night shows, while Saturday [4.25 cr] demonstrated that the word of mouth was extremely positive and hence the upward trend in business. But the biggest turnaround came on Sunday [Rs 5.50 cr], with metros and mini-metros giving the film the real push. The opening weekend total stands at Rs 12.79 cr nett, which, looking at its meager 20% to 30% start on Friday morning, is simply remarkable

Seems undeterred by the onslaught of new releases every week. Collects Rs 9.65 cr in Weekend 3, taking the total to Rs 124.15 cr nett. Breakup:- Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 2.90 cr, Sun 4.50 cr. Blockbuster

Its performance, even at hi-end multiplexes, which patronized the film in its opening weekend, was below the mark. Collected Rs 3 cr in Weekend 2, taking the 10-day total to Rs 20.50 cr nett. While the investment may be recovered due to the sale of Satellite rights, Music rights and pre-sales prior to its release, the theatrical business is definitely disappointing.
