Thread: Dance ke Superstar : official judge and host

Choreographer Shiamak Davar has been roped in as the judge of Zee TV's upcoming dance reality show 'Dance Ke Superstar'. The show will have the top contenders of the show 'Dance India Dance' competing each other on 'Dance Ke Superstars'.

The best dancers of DID like Shakti Mohan, Siddhesh Pai, Mayuresh, Dharmesh, Prince, Vrushali Chavan and others from both the season of DID will burn the dance floor and fight it out against each other.

Shiamak, who has choreographed some best dance numbers of Bollywood, is quiet nervous about his role as a judge for the show 'Dance Ke Superstar'. In a press statement, Shiamak said, “Dance is worship for me and I am really excited about being a part of 'Dance Ke Superstar' as it has such amazing talent across different dancing styles. Having all of them together on one stage will certainly make for some dazzling performances and tough competition ¦ And the one thing that I am certainly dreading is to choose the best amongst them. Each of them is brilliant in their own way."

The show will go on air in the month of April. Earlier, Shiamak was also seen as the judge of the reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 2.



Solo Host
TellyBuzz was the first to report about Zee TV's upcoming reality show Dance Ke Superstars. The show as we know, will be a battlefield for the Season 1 and Season 2 contestants of Dance India Dance.

Manish Paul we hear will be the sole host of the show.

Our source states, "Manish who had earlier hosted L'il Masters on the same channel has been roped in as the host of this series. Shiamak Davar will be one of the judges while the show will have various celebrity guests occupying the other judge's spot. Mithun Chakraborthy will be the Grandmaster, but he might not be present for all the episodes as he has few date problems".

Siddhesh Pai, Jai Kumar Nair, Salman, Prince, Alisha, Mayuresh, Vrushali from Season 1, and Shakti, Punit, Dharmesh, Binny, Kruti, Amrita, Amar, Kishore from Season 2 are tipped to be part of the show. From DID L'il Masters, Avneet, Atul, Vaishnavi, Jeetumoni are likely to participate in this new format".

When contacted, Manish Paul confirmed the news, "Yes, I am the sole host of the new show on Zee TV".

We tried contacting Ashish Golwalkar, Non-Fiction Head, Zee TV, but he remained unavailable for comments.
