Deepika Padukone oficially entered the 100 crore club with two of her films this year, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Race 2. But the actress says it does not attach much significance.

Race 2 was a huge hit and had a great opening at the box office and Deepika’s 2013 took off in awesome style. Her latest movie with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor also did great at the Box Office and has become one of India’s top grossing movies.

“It feels good when your films do good business and is appreciated by everyone. It is an added bonus. But I don’t give importance to Rs 100 crore club. I continue to focus on my work and do better. But what if a film earns money but the film is not good… I feel all good films should do well,” Deepika told PTI in an interview.

“It feels good when films like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Barfi’ and others do well. One should not categorise the success of films genre wise, like only action or masala films will do well. All good films will do well,” she said.

Her previous three films, ‘Cocktail’, ‘Race 2′ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ got tremendous response from the audience and were superhit commercially but she says she does not review them.

“I don’t sit and analyse about the films I do. It feels good that my films have been liked by the audience,” she said. “I work on a film if I feel excited and If I know I will enjoy being part of the project. I have not changed my approach to work,” she added.

Except for a few scenes in school uniform, there is absolutely no similarity between "Raanjhanaa" and Tamil romantic-drama "3", clarifies Tamil actor Dhanush. He urges viewers not to compare the two movies.
"3" was an unsuccessful directorial debut of Dhanush's wife, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, while "Raanjhanaa" marks his debut in Bollywood.
"I don't want these two films to be compared because they bear no similarity except for a few scenes in school uniform. Both films have different storylines and are quite different from each other in so many ways," Dhanush told IANS.
Aishwarya's "3" tracks the love story of two students from class 12 to the stage when they tie the knot to become a couple, whereas "Raanjhanaa" focuses on the relationship between a Muslim girl and a Hindu boy.
Although "3" was a box office dud, the song "Kolaveri Di" from the film made Dhanush a global name.
Directed by Anand L. Rai, "Raanjhanaa", which is releasing Friday, is produced by Eros International. It also features Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol and Swara Bhaskar in important roles.

Sonakshi Sinha says her father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha is very happy with the promotional trailer of her forthcoming film "Lootera", and that he is eager to watch the movie.
"He (dad) is very happy. The promo of 'Lootera' first came on internet, till that time it was not aired on TV, so he called one of his friends and said, 'Load this! I have to see the trailer'. He was very happy when he saw it," Sonakshi said here Tuesday on the set of the TV reality show "Emotional Atyachaar".
"He said, 'This film seems to be different and interesting and I would definitely want to watch this film," said Sonakshi.
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, "Lootera" is a period romance and features Ranveer Singh opposite Sonakshi. It releases July 5.

If she played a high-on-fashion girl in "Aisha", she even essayed a simple girl in "Delhi-6" and "Mausam". Actress Sonam Kapoor, who will now be seen in her forthcoming film "Raanjhanaa", says she considers it a big achievement that she has escaped being typecast in the film industry.
"I don't compare my life with the success ratio. I am not getting typecast and that's my biggest achievement. I want to be able to do different roles and I have consciously decided it and not done typical roles," Sonam told IANS.
"Raanjhanaa", directed by Anand L.Rai, also stars southern actor Dhanush.
Sonam says she was always the "first choice" for the role of Zoya in "Raanjhanaa" and says any reports indicating that actress Sonakshi Sinha was being considered for the role are "not true at all".
"There are lots of films which even I have said no to, but I never talk about it, I never discuss it because I respect my co-star, producers and directors. But I can assure you that I was always the first choice for 'Raanjhanaa'," she added.

"It was his (the director's) thought and after this film, I don't know about myself, but my moustache will become very popular," quipped Ravi.

Jackie Chan, one of Asian cinema's most prominent faces, is keen that India, the world's largest film producing nation, and China, globally the second largest film market, must collaborate to make movies, and exchange culture more often. Singing and dancing in a Bollywood film is also on his wish-list!
In the capital to inaugurate the Chinese Film Festival, jointly organised by the India-China Economic and Cultural Council in association with both India and China, the 59-year-old star of movies like "Police Story", "Rush Hour" and "The Myth" was "excitedly happy" with the warm reception from his fans.
Such initiatives - film festivals, cultural exchange programmes and music events - will "definitely" help the nations in improving relations, he said.
"There are (many) productions, studios and directors, you can hire some of the Chinese stars - actors, actresses to act in the movies or find some Chinese location (for your films)," Chan told IANS in an interview.
He cited his experience of working with Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat in the 2005 martial arts-based fantasy adventure film "The Myth".

Filmmaker Susi Ganeshan's debut Hindi film "Shortcut Romeo" has been awarded U/A-certificate by the censor board, which ran its scissors on the liplock scene between Neil Nitin Mukesh and Puja Gupta and reduced it 50 percent.
Confirming this, Ganeshan told IANS: "The film has got a U/A certificate with cuts. It is a very intense drama, which has a strong message in it. The liplock scene between Neil and Puja has been reduced to 50 percent. So, the kissing scene has been diluted as per request of the censor board."
"I think liplock is very common in Bollywood but in south it's like a big deal. I thought the kissing scene was necessary as it goes with the flow of the film," he added.
The director, who hails from South, started his career in 2002 with Tamil film "Five Star" and later directed "Virumbugiren", "Thiruttu Payale" and "Kanthaswamy".
"Shortcut Romeo", his first Hindi movie, is a remake of his Tamil venture "Thiruttu Payale" and the director assures he is "here to stay".
"I am not going to do just one film and go back to south. I am also producing 'Shortcut Romeo' and I want to try my hands in production and understand my business capability," said the director who has roped in Ameesha Patel in a negative role in "Shortcut Romeo", slated for a June 21 release.

Kiran is releasing the film in association with UTV Motion Pictures in India July 19.
"Anand and I have become close friends in a very short span of time. I thought it would be nice to introduce him and his cast and crew to our friends and colleagues," Kiran, who directed "Dhobi Ghat", said in a statement.
Kicked about the project, she feels the entire team is very talented and has done a great job in the film that won the best film award at the recently concluded 12th Transylvania International Film Festival.
A story about human values, "Ship of Theseus" features three characters - an experimental photographer, ailing intellectual monk and a stock broker.

"'Ram Leela' is indeed a huge ticket for me. I can't talk much about the film but I feel people spend their whole life to be part of Sanjay's film and I got to work with him in such an initial stage of my career. I feel i am very lucky and happy that people have accepted me," Richa told IANS.
The 28-year-old was last seen in Anurag Kashyap's "Gangs Of Wasseypur" in which she played the character of Nagma Khatoon.
Sharing her experience of working with Bhansali, she said: "He is very strict on the sets and is a thorough professional".
"He is very intelligent. He is aware of fashion and costumes as much as his lenses and cameras," she added.
