Thread: Gutur Gu to go off air on 30 June

Gutur Gu (SAB TV) produced by Fireworks Productions opened new doors in the realm of comic content in Indian television. Well, when majority of comedy shows fail to tickle the funny bone with all their dialogues and funny histrionics, Gutur Gu, being a silent comedy, brought smiles on the lips of masses for more than two years. But as they say, all good things come to an end someday.

Accordingly, Gutur Gu is going off air and it will air for the last time on 30 June (2012).

Producer B P Singh confirmed to us, “Yes, the show will bid adieu. It was a wonderful experience to make a silent comedy. It was something very challenging for us.”
So what is the reason for it being taken off air? “I think certain things started getting repetitive. So audience started losing interest. But overall we have had a great time and the show ran for two years, which according to me is a good enough achievement.”

Actor Kunal Kumar aka Ballu shared, “We have received an official confirmation from the production house this morning. I was very attached to the show and will definitely miss it a lot.”

Well...we always feel bad when a show goes off air. Here’s to better days in the future!!!
