Thread: Muslim family to join Lapataganj

Garima Productions’ Lapataganj on SAB TV has managed to hold on to its loyal audiences for years now. The sitcom, that puts light on the mismanagement in the system of our country, has been so far appealing to the masses. Now, to make the show spicier, the makers will soon be introducing a Muslim family in the show.

Accordingly, seasoned actor, Atul Srivastav has been roped in to play the head of the Muslim family. He will essay Mirza Tayyab Ali Acche, a typical Muslim father of five daughters, who loves to write and recite shayari. “It’s a ‘dhamaal’ character and the audience would love the character for sure and I have started shooting since yesterday,” says Atul.

Atul has also acted in shows like Mrs & Mr Allahabadwale and also done films like Munna Bhai MBBS. Atul has been also a part of pilot of Tota weds Maina done by Miloni Production. (We have earlier reported).
